today maths lecture was fun! the reightards sat together, ensuring that much hilarity ensued.

just like the good old days in our 408 homeroom man. haha. we should start bringing ties into maths lecture o___0. i can still distinctly remember the day mrs chew walked in on a certain reightard struggling to untie herself. grin evilly.

which hit me on how much i miss the reightards :/ why is every single one of them in the humans stream (i wonder whether i regret not joining humans actually, but i kinda like sciences more over econs and well ki, cause i would have taken lich's combi if i entered humans) therefore maths lectures are turning into highly distracting, fun filled bonzanas. amused look. and lich, who has nothing better to do. i swear im going to sit beside monkey the next lecture. scowls at lich. we just need mogu to complete the trio. :p

level 2 is over :( no more 9-6 saturdays of pure fun, where i can happily regress back to childhood and watch my teachers do the same thing, and jump on the HUGE trampoline in the RI gym. i have blackmail worthy videos. grins at eli consipiratorically. (ok there is something wrong with the spelling somewhere)

and then it suddenly hits me that my jc odac life is OVER. wednesdays seem so huge and empty now..somehow a 3 hour theory lesson doesnt seem that bad anymore. haha.

to batch 24; please really really treasure all the time you have. dont waste your time, dont cancel trainings because you dont feel like it, pursue all your outdoor interests (but of course do it safely lah) to the max, ask the teachers to share their experiences with you, never turn away the chance to talk to each other. because when you get to the J2 year you realize, when are you ever going to get the chance to sit in a tent with this person again, and watch the stars? when are you going to get the chance to laugh, trek, kayak, belay, climb with each other at least 2 times a week?

listening to handover you can really see the urgency of this message - because your senior batch didnt make full use of their j1 year and now they are regretting like mad. because they spent too long waiting for things to happen rather than making things happen themselves, feeling that people owed them expeditions.

but odac was memorable, because of certain people. :)

to mspa ng: thanks for all the encouragement and support that you have always been giving me :)
to training comm!: TC FOREVER! HAHA. thanks for giving me the chance to work with the most dedicated group of people in odac :)

to mrleong: thank you for showing me that learning is forever :) and always remembering to play and have fun!

and finally,

to germs: my silent pillar of support! i miss you still, even now. thank you for always picking me up after i fall, bolstering my faith, and relighting my passion for the outdoors in faraway italy! haha. im constantly inspired by all the faith you have shown in odac even though its been more than a year away already! :D

so tomorrow marks the end of 23's odac tenure.

humms. i really wonder how we would have did if we had taken a lot of turns in the opposite direction. if the tree didnt fall. if we had june ex. if we didnt settle on vietnam, if we had final ex, if we had done blah blah blah blah..

a lot of people are saying that its damm sad for us to end this way.

personally i feel quite ambivalent about it. yes, its damm sad for most of us that odac23 didnt go out with the bang we always envisioned about. but really, as mrsh ah said, "who is to say that odac ends this month in 2008?" seriously. if you are serious about what odac really entails, then it is lifelong. it may end officially, but its up to you to continue the spirit for life.

and thats why we all admire people like mrleo ng, mrt an, mrch ua, mrshu kor, because they are all outdoors people for life, and we want to be like them :)

and really, i dont feel sad about it, or disappointed or anything. as i told yichao, i dont regret joining in at this batch, (i do feel envious of 24 though), because it has given me a lot of things, on hindsight, even though you dont realize it at that time. :)

it is not my case to argue, but i think that handover seems to be the last stop on everyone's mind because it means the end of all activites. but, on retrospect, its just an end to all OFFICIAL activities. and in fact, you actually get more time off from all the sessions to pursue what you like best. be it rockclimbing, cycling, training etc. and its funny, how i seem to be more active in these as a j2 than a j1.

meanwhile, im looking forward to loads of stuff! haha. lvl 2, more rockclimbing at the new gym and safra, myteengames, etc. :D

why do they not win when i watch them play important matches??!!? :( they were actually doing very well in the first half and taking the game to man utd by having more possession and shots :/ BUT, they dont have a killer player like torres :( who can kill games. instead they wasted a ton of chances which could have translated into.. well :(

but the hargreaves goal was very well taken, unfortunately. stupid wall didnt jump... :( but while we were at 2-1 down we were still throwing everything at the man utd woodwork but just just just cannot hit in :( wasted :/ and i dunno why he started alexandre song? hello? how many games has he played the season???

should have maybe gone with walcott first, when he came on he did make more runs, and its more true to our style also rather then having a defensive midfield with eboue.. and wth, he took off toure for hoyte?? and like look who's on united's bench - tevez, giggs, and all we have are bendtner, hoyte and walcott ALL LIKE BELOW 20 one!!! wahhh T____T


aiyah he should buy a striker with more verve i think, and probably more midfielders to go deep so he can release fabregas to pass and create more...and train adebayor to be a better finisher! yesterday all the long shots all anyhow whack :( into the goalie, hit left post right post anywhere but into the net. van persie also injure too much, if not he will be our matchwinner already - that cross for adebayor's "handball" was nice lorh.


need rosicky flamini sagna eduardo alumnia back. and van persie back to form :/ and need one more striker should let bendtner out on loan.

lol. today was quite a funny day.

first thing in the morning i ogled at sihao's new match attax cards and went to buy 3 packs from seven eleven. HAHA. i know its super primary school but being the sad students we are with no entertainment in life its good to laugh and revert back to the good ol' primary school days. basically these cards are trading cards with EPL players, and me sihao and priya have this funny trading system because we all convieniently support different teams.

went for a testing run with erkor around the school damm fun, see how hard can push for next week; and the verdict is im super unfit :/ am sad, need to run more alone i guess and push it. ohwell. thing is i hate running and i need motivation o___O i rather do sport than just boring ol running. but running with scenery is more fun :D

after that a very amusing session at IPU bars occured

after which i sucuumbed to temptation and twinn bought me three more packs of match attax. lol. after which came an intense bartering session within ourselves. and the forming of the useless midfielder and defender club. ohwell. i found how to play already, but priya's 'pool team is going to pwn mine/sihao's thanks to mr 101. grins.

anw pw results came out and the 08S03O rocked the canteen madly.

a plea: whoever finds a black billabong foam pencil case please return it to me :(

there is something about losing pencil cases which make it particularly gloomy. it is not as bad as losing a wallet or a handphone but there is some affinity to those pens and pencils and random bits of stationery that makes losing it rather sad :(

and some of the stuff there are really important

like my 4 year old pencil which i got from my dad on my birthday

and the new gold and purple pens which i got on this birthday, also from my dad

and the manuscript pen from my mom


buying them back is going to cost a lot :/ and its just not the same huh.
